Vallila's patterns to Transval

Vallila, a Finnish interior design and textile company founded in 1935, has outsourced its warehouse in Tuusula to Transval.

The warehouse in Tuusula handles all Vallila products from carpets to shower curtains. Incoming goods are received, shelved in the right places, collected from the shelves for orders and dispatched to customers. Different seasons and holidays are reflected in the warehouse as Vallila's colourful products are ordered for homes all over Finland.

Customer service levels maintained and improved

The Vallila brand is owned by Manna & Co, whose mission is to develop brands from convention to excellence. In addition to Vallila, the company's brand portfolio includes Finlayson, Makia, Reino&Aino, The Lexington Company and Sasta, which is partly owned by the company.

"It felt natural to start discussions about outsourcing Vallila's in-house logistics. The trust has been built up over three years of cooperation with Finlayson in logistics. Our service levels will be maintained and improved, and we will also be able to focus more on our own task of developing the brand portfolio. It is also important that our staff can become part of a logistics company of professionals, where their skills can be further developed", says Mika Martikainen, Logistics Director at Manna & Co.

Cooperation is built on trust

"Vallila is a great new customer: a brand full of colour and history. There are not many consumers in Finland who are not familiar with this textile brand and its beautiful patterns. The dialogue with Manna & Co has been excellent from the very beginning. The trust and the building of a common will were further strengthened by the fact that we had already been given responsibility for the storage of Finlayson products. It's great that we have now also been entrusted with Vallila's in-house logistics," says Kai Kankaala, Sales Director at Transval.
