Transval and manufacturer of fast charging stations for electric vehicles Kempower enter a holistic logistics cooperation, which covers package design and production, warehouse and dispatch operations, and deliveries between the warehouse and production. The achieved results in packaging provide an excellent foundation for the growing partnership.
Package design and production create savings and ease work
Our cooperation started in the summer of 2022, when Kempower needed a new package for one of its main products. The goal was to reduce the bottleneck in the warehouse and ensure that the product would travel safely to customers around the globe.
“We designed and produced a high-quality package for Kempower, which eased work and increased safety. The primary purpose of the package was to make sure that the quality product would remain intact during its journey,” says Pekka Paavilainen who oversees the cooperation at Transval.
Results of the implementation were great. The packaging created measurable savings in freight space and increased packaging speed significantly. Kempower has since utilized the benefits of the packaging concept in its North America plant, as well.
Warehouse, dispatch, and deliveries give opportunities for growth
We signed a new contract in late 2023, expanding our cooperation from package design and production to include a wide array of Posti’s logistics value chain services. We handle Kempower’s warehouse and dispatch operations in our Pennala warehouse and deliveries between the warehouse and production.
At the core of our expanding cooperation is Kempower’s business growth. Through our warehouse and delivery services, we can offer scalability and flexibility on the company’s path to growth.

The location of our warehouse played an important role in the growing cooperation. Kempower is a Lahti-founded company and wanted the benefits of their business growth to go to their home region. Our warehouse and dispatch are in Pennala, meaning they act as an employer in the Lahti area.
