There are thousands of homeless people in Finland and one very real need as the weather gets colder is a warm and intact winter coat. This year, the Partioaitta will once again organise its traditional coat collection and distribute warm winter coats to those in need. Posti and Transval are partners in the collection for the third year running.
In addition to the local collection points, intact, clean and warm coats can be sent free of charge via Posti. We at Transval will receive the coats in our warehouse, check their condition, fold them into rolls and deliver them to the agreed locations. We also encourage all Transvalians to participate in the collection. Last year, a total of 4,713 coats were donated and distributed in cooperation with the Association for Unstable Housing and other social and health actors.
