Transval and Boliden Harjavalta to cooperate

Transval and Boliden Harjavalta Oy have signed a multi-year cooperation agreement for the management of nickel stone logistics and maintenance of outdoor areas in the Industrial Park.

"The choice of partner was strongly influenced by our awareness and expertise in occupational and environmental safety and development. Of course, without forgetting the cost level," says Sami Koivunen, Procurement Manager at Boliden Harjavalta.

The Boliden Group is a socially responsible metals company. The company specializes in ore exploration, mining, smelting and metal recycling. The Boliden Group has mines and smelters in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Ireland. Products include zinc, copper, nickel, lead, gold and silver. The Group has approximately 5,700 employees and a turnover of approximately SEK 52.5 billion in 2018. Boliden Harjavalta is part of the Swedish Boliden Group. Boliden Harjavalta has copper smelter, nickel smelter and sulphuric acid plants in Harjavalta and copper electrolysis in Pori. Its products are copper, nickel, gold, silver and sulphur products. The company employs around 540 people and its 2018 production value was EUR 1.4 billion.
