Our parent company Posti (and through it Transval) is the only Finnish company to be selected as a finalist in the international World Sustainability Awards. Posti is a finalist in the emissions reduction series with six other companies, including Heineken and Bayer. The winner will be announced on 13 October.
The World Sustainability Awards is a competition organized in partnership with the renowned sustainability assessor EcoVadis, where an international jury rewards companies in 12 sustainability categories such as emissions reduction, circular economy and human rights.
By the end of last year, Posti had reduced its emissions by 34% compared to 2007. Posti's current target is to achieve zero own emissions by 2030.
"As we have just heard from the recent IPCC report, climate action needs to be even more ambitious. We are therefore delighted that Posti's long-standing work for the environment and our strict climate targets have also been recognised as an international example in this competition," says Noomi Jägerhorn, Posti's Head of Sustainability.
